Dr. Hulbert earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Ferris State University. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Michigan College of Optometry. She completed externships at Indian Health Services in Oklahoma, Eglin Air Force Base in Florida, and Special Needs Vision Clinic in Saginaw Michigan. While in Optometry School Dr. Hulbert was awarded a Health Professions Scholarship through the United States Airforce. After graduating Dr. Hulbert spent 6 years serving active duty in the Air Force and providing eye care to active duty members, their families, and retirees. In 2018 Dr. Hulbert became a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, a high distinction amongst optometrists. In 2020 Dr. Hulbert moved back home to Michigan to continue her service with the Michigan Air National Guard and settled here on the lakeshore where she has been serving the West Michigan community ever since. In her free time, Dr. Hulbert enjoys time with her young family, arts and crafts, getting outside, and serving in her church and local community.
She is a fellow in the American Academy of Optometry.
